Il Gruppo di Lavoro per la Convenzione sui Diritti del Fanciullo si è costituito nel dicembre 2000 grazie all’iniziativa di alcune organizzazioni che aderiscono al tavolo PIDIDA. L’obiettivo prioritario del gruppo è stato di redigere un Rapporto Supplementare rispetto a quello che ogni 5 anni il Governo Italiano, avendo ratificato la Convenzione, ha l’obbligo di sottoporre alle Nazioni Unite. Il presente rapporto costituisce lo strumento attraverso cui il terzo settore è chiamato ad esprimere il proprio punto di vista sull’attuazione dei principi sanciti dalla Convenzione sui Diritti del Fanciullo (CRC). Save the Children Italia ha promosso e coordinato il lavoro e, insieme alle associazioni che hanno supportato l’iniziativa, ha determinato le priorità e le finalità operative del Rapporto.
The Working Group for the Convention on the Rights of the Child was established in December 2000 thanks to the initiative of some organizations that adhere to the PIDIDA table. The primary objective of the group was to draw up a Supplementary Report with respect to the one that the Italian Government, having ratified the Convention, is obliged to submit to the United Nations every 5 years. This report is the tool through which the third sector is called upon to express its point of view on the implementation of the principles enshrined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). Save the Children Italy promoted and coordinated the work and, together with the associations that supported the initiative, determined the priorities and operational purposes of the Report.
