Centro italiano per la sicurezza in internet

Save the Children Italia opera da anni per la tutela dei diritti dei minori nell’utilizzo dei Nuovi Media, portando avanti azioni ad ampio raggio, tra cui attività di Media Education con e per i ragazzi e di contrasto alla pedopornografia online. Il programma Safer Internet, nell'ambito del quale è stata realizzata la presente pubblicazione, è il principale piano di intervento della Commissione Europea in materia di Nuovi Media e tutela dei minori. Nell’ambito di tale programma, Adiconsum e Save the Children dal 2004 promuovono EASY, una campagna di sensibilizzazione per un utilizzo sicuro e responsabile di internet e dei cellulari da parte dei più giovani. Dal 2002, Save the Children è impegnata in Italia nella lotta alla diffusione della pedopornografia su Internet e tramite Internet attraverso il progetto Stop-It che coordina direttamente. I due programmi, EASY e Stop it, operano in maniera coordinata. Dal 2009 tale complementarietà si è concretizzata con la nascita del Centro Italiano per la Sicurezza in Internet, che comprende una Hotline (www.stop-it.org) e il Centro italiano di Sensibilizzazione.

Save the Children Italia has been working for years to protect children's rights in the use of New Media, carrying out wide-ranging actions, including Media Education activities with and for children and combating online child pornography. The Safer Internet programme, under which this publication has been produced, is the European Commission's main action plan on new media and the protection of minors. As part of this program, since 2004 Adiconsum and Save the Children have been promoting EASY, an awareness campaign for the safe and responsible use of the internet and mobile phones by young people. Since 2002, Save the Children has been involved in the fight against the spread of child pornography on the Internet and through the Internet through the Stop-It project, which it coordinates directly. The two programs, EASY and Stop it, operate in a coordinated manner. Since 2009, this complementarity has materialized with the creation of the Italian Center for Internet Security, which includes a Hotline (www.stop-it.org) and the Italian Awareness Center.
