Save the Children è impegnata da anni nella protezione e nella promozione dei diritti dei minori stranieri in Italia, attraverso interventi progettuali sul campo, attività di ricerca, e dialogo e pressione sulle istituzioni locali, nazionali, europee ed internazionali. Sulla base di questa esperienza pluriennale, l’Organizzazione ha deciso di realizzare un rapporto annuale sui minori stranieri in Italia. La prima edizione di tale rapporto, pubblicata nel 2009, mirava a censire e sistematizzare le informazioni quantitative e qualitative disponibili sui minori stranieri in Italia e ad illustrare gli ostacoli principali che impediscono la piena realizzazione dei diritti di questi minori, in particolare il diritto alla protezione, nel paese. Il presente secondo rapporto annuale sui minori stranieri si propone di aggiornare e di arricchire l’analisi precedentemente realizzata.
Save the Children has been committed for years to the protection and promotion of the rights of foreign minors in Italy, through project interventions in the field, research activities, and dialogue and pressure on local, national, European and international institutions. On the basis of this many years of experience, the Organization has decided to produce an annual report on foreign minors in Italy. The first edition of this report, published in 2009, aimed to census and systematize the quantitative and qualitative information available on foreign minors in Italy and to illustrate the main obstacles preventing the full realization of the rights of these minors, in particular the right to protection, in the country. The purpose of this second annual report on foreign minors is to update and enrich the analysis previously carried out.
